  Tips For Smart Shoppers
Pictures of Counter-Top pay phones may look alike, but their features and capabilities will vary. When Buying a counter-top payphone look for the following:
Accepts quarters dimes and nickels. Older obsolete models accept quarters only
Must allow 7 and 10-digit local calls. Important because many areas are switching to 10-digit local calls.
Easy keypad programmability. Older obsolete models are set up by the supplier because they are difficult to program.
Always check warranty for parts, labor AND length of warranty period.
A Guarantee of Satisfaction. Midwest Telephone Supply offers a 30-day Money Back Guarantee.

Who made those long distance phone calls on your bill? You can put an end to the nonsense when you get this "No Push To talk" coin phone. Just plug it into a phone jack and stop worrying.

Easy to Use
Unlike other counter top style payphones this phone features automatic answer supervision (automatically collects the coins so you don't have to press a talk button as in cheaper models).

Your customers (or employees) can make coin or calling card calls and you can select how long they stay on the phone because of the time limit feature.

Questions and Answers About This Product
•  Can anyone own a payphone?
•  How much can I expect to make?
•  Do I need a Special phone Line for the payphone to work?
•  What about long distance calls?
•  What about installing a counter-top coin phone.

Q: Can anyone own a payphone?
A: Yes, it is now legal in all states for anyone to purchase and derive the revenues from their own payphone.

Q: How much can I expect to make?
A: Small bars and pubs can average about $125 to $175 a month, bigger-clubs can do $150 to $300 monthly. Good outdoor locations are in the $200 to $400 a month range. Convenience stores can average about $150 to $300 cash and $30 to $75 on charge calls per phone. Restaurants can do $125 to $250 a month per phone, sometimes a lot better. *

Note: You also make money because you save money on your phone bill.

Q: Do I need a special phone line for the payphone to work?
A: All of these phones described above can plug into a standard phone jack. Many business owners tend to run the countertop phones off there existing phone line as an extension phone (check with your local telco for any rules and regulations). Some business owners also choose to run their wall mount smart payphones off their line as an extension payphone. However, for fraud protection, it is best to run the payphone on a dedicated payphone line . If you have questions on what is best for your location and for protection against any fraudulent calling, you can talk to a customer representative at our company. We also recommend that you check with your local telephone company to find out any applicable rules they may have.

Q: What about long distance calls?
A: Pay phone rates are programmed into this phone by MTS. For example., a three minute long distance call will require the caller to deposit about $ 2.35. Your actual long distance charge for the three minutes will be approximately 45 cents so your profit is $1.95. (Charges and rates will vary according to the distance of the call and the length of time of the call). Note: The caller cannot continue talking without depositing money.

Q: What about installing a counter-top coin phone?
A: There is usually no installation required for the counter-top coin phone. Just plug it into the phone jack, set it on the counter and you are ready to go.
